About the Course




Curious how people related to their bodies and sexuality thousands of years ago? And how this translated into ancient pottery?

Join us for a special series of pottery classes that will bring archaeology and ancient history closer to you.

Through these guided sessions, you will become acquainted with ancient ceramic forms and will reproduce different objects through various techniques (pinch, coil, slab, free hand etc.) every session.

You will be provided with all the required materials including clay, tools, and glazes!

Your Instructor

Alexandra Dolea & Özlem Taskin Önen

Alexandra Dolea is a doctor in ancient history and archaeology. she has been participating in various excavation projects for over 15 years and she will acquaint you with the everyday life of ancient people and their ceramics.
Özlem Taskin Önen is a pottery artisan for about 20 years and she will introduce you to the world of clay.
